Servicemen and women who long to take their first step on to the property ladder can make this dream a reality by taking advantage of a new scheme at Taylor Wimpey’s popular development The Romans at Augusta Park in Andover.

The Forces Help to Buy scheme enables military personnel to secure an interest-free Government loan of up to 50% of their salary to put towards the cost of their first home.

A superb selection of one, two and three-bedroom homes is available now with Forces Help to Buy at this sought-after development on the fringes of the Hampshire town. What’s more, customers reserving their new home at The Romans in February 2014 will receive a free iPad when they complete their purchase!

Emma Jones, Associate Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Saving the deposit required for a first home can be difficult, especially for service personnel who move around throughout their military career.

“The Forces Help to Buy scheme is a fantastic opportunity for these would-be buyers to put some roots down and get on to the property ladder, and I would encourage anyone interested in finding out more about taking advantage of the initiative at The Romans to come and visit us as soon as possible.”

One-bedroom apartments are priced from only £116,000 at The Romans, while two-bedroom homes start from just £149,000 and three-bedroom properties from as little as £210,000.

The two-bedroom ‘Canford’ terraced house, for example, is priced from £195,000 and features a well-proportioned living/dining room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, with a kitchen and a guest cloakroom completing the ground-floor layout.

Upstairs, the landing leads to an en-suite master bedroom, a further double bedroom and a main bathroom. There’s allocated parking outside, while some plots benefit from a garage.

The Forces Help to Buy scheme enables servicemen and woman to borrow up to 50% of their salary, interest-free, to buy their first home. Purchasers can borrow up to £25,000 and the normal term of the loan is 10 years.

The Romans at Augusta Park enjoys a prime position to the north of Andover town centre. A new primary school, community centre, sports hall and playing fields are to be constructed alongside the homes, as well as employment areas which may include new local shops and leisure amenities.

Currently, there’s a range of shops, including a supermarket, within easy reach of the development, a choice of primary schools can be found within half a mile, while a good selection of secondary and further education is located in Andover.

Commuters will appreciate that Andover railway station is just a short distance from the development and provides regular services to Salisbury, Basingstoke and London Waterloo, while the M3 and M4 are each within a 20-mile radius.
