Property-seekers are certain to agree that the impressive new showhomes at Taylor Wimpey’s Atrium at Great Western Park development in Didcot are out of this world when they open later this month.

The leading housebuilder is hosting a special space-themed event to mark the launch of the four-bedroom ‘Langdale’, the four-bedroom ‘Welford’ and the three-bedroom ‘Yewdale’ show properties on Saturday 26th April, when children will be able to enter a ‘design a rocket’ competition. The youngsters can also meet some astronaut characters and enjoy a range of refreshments, and the winner of the competition will receive a day out at the National Space Centre.

Prospective purchasers will also be able to explore the showhomes, which are currently being beautifully decorated and furnished by Taylor Wimpey’s expert team of interior designers.

Darren McCormack, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “This is a fantastic opportunity for families to come and find out more about the lifestyle they could be enjoying at our sought-after Atrium at Great Western Park development.

“I would encourage anyone who’d like to experience the spacious layout of a Taylor Wimpey home to come along to our fantastic space-themed event on Saturday 26th April when the ‘Langdale’, ‘Welford’ and ‘Yewdale’ showhomes launch.”

The ‘Langdale’ showhome boasts a light and airy living room and a good-sized kitchen/breakfast room, both opening through French doors to the private rear garden, with a separate dining room and a guest cloakroom completing the ground-floor layout.

Upstairs, the landing leads to an en-suite master bedroom, three further double bedrooms and a main bathroom.

Meanwhile, the ‘Welford’ features a generous dual-aspect living room, with a separate dining room and a kitchen/breakfast room both opening through French doors to the private rear garden, a study, a guest cloakroom, an en-suite master bedroom, three further bedrooms and a main bathroom.

Alternatively, the ‘Yewdale’ comprises a spacious living room, a kitchen/dining room, a guest cloakroom, an en-suite master bedroom, two further bedrooms and a main bathroom.

There’s a choice of new homes available to buy now at Atrium at Great Western Park, including two-bedroom properties from only £230,000, three-bedroom houses from just £260,000 and four-bedroom homes from as little as £345,000.

To make securing their perfect property even easier, purchasers can benefit from the Help to Buy equity loan scheme, which enables eligible first-time buyers and existing homeowners to secure a Government loan for 20% of its full price – meaning they only require a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a 5% deposit.

Help to Buy is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000 and there is no salary cap for homebuyers taking advantage of the scheme.

Atrium at Great Western Park lies on the western fringes of the vibrant town of Didcot, which has been designated as one of the three major growth areas in Oxfordshire and boasts a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs within walking distance. The sought-after village of Harwell is also just a short distance away.

Parents will appreciate that there are a number of primary schools located close by, and secondary schools can be found in Didcot.

Commuters will enjoy easy access to the A34 which runs to the east of the development, offering good links to the M4 and M40, and nearby Didcot Parkway railway station has regular services to London Paddington with a journey time of around 40 minutes.
