A leading local estate agent has hailed the arrival of a new range of family homes alongside the River Lune in Lancaster.

John Harrison, branch manager of Entwistle Green on Market Street, Lancaster, has welcomed Redrow Homes’ first development in the town – highlighting the quality of the homes, the idyllic location and good customer service as reasons to buy.

Redrow’s Riverside View enjoys a quayside location on the banks of the River Lune and the housebuilder has teamed up with Entwistle Green to help direct more visitors to the two fully furnished showhomes that have recently opened.

John Harrison said "We are delighted to have the opportunity to build a relationship with a brand such as Redrow. They are renowned for the quality of their build and the Heritage Collection homes at Riverside View, Lancaster do not disappoint. The beautiful homes sit in a lovely location - so many buyers we encounter love the idea of a home by water - and they offer something for everyone.”

Redrow’s development will feature a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes, only a mile from Lancaster station. The Heritage Collection homes marry Arts & Crafts inspired architecture with contemporary, high specification interiors. The housebuilder has also designed a more contemporary looking, bespoke housetype especially for the location. To be called The Lancaster, a selection of these prestigious three-storey, four-bedroom townhouses will provide an attractive frontage overlooking the river.

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “Lancaster is a new location for us and it’s great to team up with a company like Entwistle Green which knows the local market well and can refer buyers to us. Whether those buyers are first timers, families, upsizers or downsizers, there is a home at Riverside View to suit all circumstances.”

Current prices range from £99,995 for a two-bedroom apartment up to £329,995 for a four-bedroom family home, although these prices can be reduced by up to 20% using Help to Buy. The Government scheme allows home buyers to take out an equity loan, which is interest free for five years. They then only need a 75% mortgage and 5% deposit to purchase their new home and monthly mortgage repayments should be lower than expected.

Redrow’s development is only five minutes’ drive from the centre of historic Lancaster and the train station a mile away offers regular trains to Manchester, Preston and beyond. With a choice of primary schools and secondary schools close by the area is an excellent choice for families.

The marketing suite and show home are open every day except Thursdays. For more information, visit redrow.co.uk.
