12th August 2014 Print

A wealth of ski and snowboarding holidays for the solo traveller – including an expanded programme of ‘learn to ski’ holidays – is on offer from singles specialist, Friendship Travel.

The company, which has a dedicated website for single skiers, is offering seven premier ski resorts for the 2014/15 in France, Italy and Austria.

For ‘first time’ skiers, more ‘learn to ski weeks’ are being featured at the Chalet Hotel la Berangere in Les Deux Alpes where guests can enjoy instruction in a fun and laid-back atmosphere.

Prices of these seven-night holidays lead in at £1095 per person inclusive of return Gatwick flights, transfers, chalet-board accommodation, hire of boots and skis (or boards), lift pass and five full days of lessons.

Hotels making their debut for the new season include Chalet Hotel St Christoph in the superb Arlberg ski region of Austria with its miles of pistes and suitable for skiers of all abilities.  The St Christoph, which enjoys a ski-in, ski-out location, is a modern hotel where facilities include an indoor pool and sauna.  Prices start from £845 per person inclusive of return Gatwick flights, transfers and chalet board accommodation.

Prices in the 2014/15 programme lead in at just £695 per person for seven nights in January at the Chalet Hotel Cristallo in Courmayeur in Italy and, for singles who fancy spending Christmas on the slopes, a week at the Chalet Hotel Dahu in Courchevel 1850 is priced from £995 per person.

The above prices also include sole occupancy of a twin or double room (discounts apply to those willing to share with a fellow guest) and the services of a local host who arranges everything from airport transfers to obtaining lift passes.

Departures are also available from Heathrow, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow (supplements may apply).
