Sure Run to the Beat announce finish festival celebrity acts

Sure Run to the Beat, the epic running event which motivates and entertains runners with live DJ stations around a 10K route, has announced Nick Grimshaw, DJ duo Sigma and Tom Parker of The Wanted as three of the finish festival acts for this year’s run, taking place on September 14 at Wembley Park.

12,500 runners will be entertained by chart topping duo Sigma as they finish, followed by a live DJ set from ‘Grimmy’ in the shadow of the magnificent Wembley stadium. Starting on the main stage the drum & bass beats are certain to ensure the party atmosphere continues well past the finish line.

The talent doesn’t end there with BBC Radio 1’s Nihal, joining the line up alongside urban sound system Panjabi Hit Squad, student hero Hutch, Capital Xtra’s Ras Kwame and BBC Asian Network’s Bobby Friction.

The DJs, lined up by our music partner, City Showcase, will line the brand new 10K course in Wembley Park, playing live music sets as runners pound the pavements to experience the epic music filled run in the shadow of one of Britain’s most iconic sporting venues. What better way to spend a Sunday?

Managing Director James Robinson said: “We are very thrilled to welcome some of the UK’s most iconic DJs to this year’s Sure Run to the Beat. Both Nick Grimshaw and Sigma have played such a huge part in the sounds of 2014 and we’re certain their sets will provide the perfect soundtrack to those completing this year’s 10K at Wembley Park.’

General entries have sold out for the 2014 Sure Run to the Beat but charity places are still available via the Official Gold Charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research or one of the other Official Charities. To take part enter now via the website: runtothebeat.co.uk/charity
