A special, dual purpose event is being held for those interested in exploring their apartment-buying options in the Chorley area.

Whether they’re buying a first home of their own or dipping their toe in the water of buy-to-let, Redrow and its experts will have lots of helpful advice for them.

Redrow is marketing a choice of two-bedroom apartments at two different locations - The Orchard, at Buckshaw Village and at Sandhurst Gardens on Pilling Lane, Chorley.

All of the apartments enjoy convivial open plan layouts that combine kitchen, dining and living areas for ease of living while also maximising the potential of the space available. The kitchens are well equipped with integrated appliances; while the bathrooms enjoy quality fixtures and fittings. Some of the apartments boast an en suite as well as a Juliette balcony.

The Buy to Live / Buy to Let event will take place at both developments on September 6, and buyers interested in finding out more about either apartment living or letting can come along to discuss the financial help available and receive free advice from a team of Redrow’s experts.

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “Our Chorley apartments are ideal for first-time buyers, professionals, downsizers and investors alike. There may be parents out there who are interested in helping their children make that first step onto the property ladder but aren’t sure how to go about it; or maybe there are people interested in supplementing their pension but they haven’t looked into becoming a landlord before.

“There might also be first-time buyers who want a home that’s manageable and in a great location but are just unsure of what they can afford. Whatever the circumstances, we can talk through all the options to help them determine the best path.”

Visitors will also be able to take a walk around the recently opened show apartment at Sandhurst Gardens, professionally designed and decorated by interiors experts DAPA. The open days will also give potential purchases the chance to find out about special furniture packs, which are ideal for those looking to kit out their first home or those who want to let out a flat fully furnished but with minimum hassle.

Those buying a home to live in themselves will be able to find out about Help to Buy which reduces the cost of a new home by up to 20%. Prices for Redrow’s Chorley apartments start from £84,995 but factor in Help to Buy and the initial purchase price could as little as £67,996.

This government scheme makes new homes easier to afford by allowing customers to take out an equity loan for up to 20% of the price, interest free for five years. The customer then only needs a 75% mortgage and 5% deposit to purchase their new home.

The apartments at The Orchard benefit from all the Buckshaw Village amenities such as a popular community centre, all-weather sports pitches, various shops, hairdressers, a convenience store, plus a Tesco supermarket and pub / restaurant. There’s also a primary school, doctors’ surgery and a train station offering frequent services to Manchester, which take about 40 minutes, and Preston, which can take as little as 10 minutes.

Sandhurst Gardens in located on Pilling Lane, close to Chorley town centre. The properties are within walking distance of a wealth of local amenities including schools and shops; while easy access to the M6 and M61, makes Sandhurst Gardens an ideal base for commuters.

The Buy to Live / Buy to Let event will take place on September 6, at both The Orchard and at Sandhurst Gardens, between 11am and 4pm.
