House-hunters in Oxfordshire are being urged to find out how the Help to Buy scheme could enable them to move on – or up – the property ladder at Taylor Wimpey’s sought-after Greenfields at Ridgeway Farm development in Swindon.

The leading housebuilder will be holding a special event at this popular development on Saturday 4th October when buyers can learn all about the Government’s shared equity scheme. What’s more, anyone who reserves one of the stunning properties at Greenfields at Ridgeway Farm on the day will have their stamp duty paid for them!

Nikki Gibson, Associate Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire, says: “This special event is a great chance for house-hunters to find out everything they need to know about the fabulous Help to Buy incentive.

“The stunning ‘Flatford’ showhome will be open during the event to give buyers a glimpse of the fantastic lifestyle opportunities on offer here at Greenfields at Ridgeway Farm and anyone who reserves a plot on the day will have their stamp duty paid by Taylor Wimpey – so I’d urge people to make sure they attend!”

Under Help to Buy, purchasers can secure a Government loan for 20% of their new home’s full price – meaning they only require a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a 5% deposit. Help to Buy is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000 and there is no salary cap for those taking advantage of the scheme.

There’s a superb selection of new homes currently on sale at Greenfields at Ridgeway Farm, including two-bedroom properties priced from just £160,000, three-bedroom houses from £215,000, four-bedroom designs from £283,000 and six-bedroom homes from £340,000.

The three-bedroom semi-detached ‘Flatford’, for example, is priced from just £215,000 and boasts a living/dining room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, plus a kitchen/breakfast room and guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway. Upstairs, the landing leads to a well-appointed en-suite master bedroom, two further bedrooms and a main bathroom, while outside the property benefits from a garage and driveway parking.

The ‘Flatford’ is available to view as a stunning showhome at Greenfields. House-hunters can also take a virtual tour of this property design on the Taylor Wimpey website.

Greenfields at Ridgeway Farm is an exciting new community which is now taking shape on the north-western fringes of Swindon, with the rolling Wiltshire countryside right on the doorstep.

In time, residents at the development will benefit from a host of facilities for everyday living, including a new primary school, a children’s play area, green open spaces and outdoor fitness equipment.

The new homes are within walking distance of a local doctor’s surgery, while an array of shopping opportunities can be found in Swindon town centre, just four miles away, and at the Orbital Shopping Centre, which is three miles from home.

For leisure activities, there’s a cinema, ten-pin bowling and Laserquest at the nearby Shaw Ridge Leisure Park and ice skating, swimming and fitness facilities at Link Leisure Centre, while the scenic surroundings of Moulden Hill Country Park are also close to home.

The development is also well located for the A419, which provides easy access to the M4 and M5, while Swindon railway station offers direct services to London Paddington in around an hour, as well as to Bristol.

The Help to Buy Event is taking place at Greenfields at Ridgeway Farm between 10am and 5pm on Saturday 4th October.

The Sales Information Centre and showhomes are located off Common Platt, Swindon, SN5 4JT, and are open daily from 10am to 5pm and 1pm to 5pm on Mondays. Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
