Waterproof onesie created to help British adults regain their sense of adventure

The UK’s first ‘adventure-ready onesie’ has been unveiled in a bid to get adults off the sofa and out into the great outdoors this winter. 

Regatta’s ‘Puddle Suit’, an all-in-one waterproof, windproof, adventure-ready onesie, has been designed by the British clothing brand in response to findings that well over three quarters (77%) of UK adults feel they have completely lost their sense of adventure, with a further 13% claiming the very thought of adventure “scares them”.  

The survey by Regatta found that a fear of the elements plays a large part in this mind-set with over half (52%) stating they are put off going outside if it is too cold, raining (30%) or ‘too muddy’ (23%). 

Jemma Volp-Fletcher from Regatta explains, “Whilst we might have produced some of the greatest adventurers of all time from Sir Ranulph Fiennes to Strictly’s Steve Backshall, most of us can’t be bothered to go beyond our own front door. 

“Kids on the other hand enjoy adventures every single day, and have been wearing our Puddle Suits for years, so we thought why not make an adult sized one.  These two Puddle Suits are a complete replica of our MudPlay waterproof all in one, and promise to make you ready for anything. 

“Grown-ups can pop this on over their everyday clothes, keeping them warm and dry as they jump through puddles on their way to work. We really hope this innovation motivates adults and parents to lose their fear of the outdoors and enjoy everyday adventures.” 

The prototype Puddle Suits are available in red and pink. They are expected to retail from £50 and upwards and promise to help you rediscover ‘your childhood adventurous spirit’.
