House-hunters in Wiltshire have been rushing to explore the stunning new showhomes now open at Taylor Wimpey’s in-demand Wichelstowe development in the new village of East Wichel, Swindon.

The fabulous four-bedroom ‘Petford’ and stylish three-bedroom ‘Flatford’ show properties were launched earlier this month and prospective purchasers who’ve already visited have been impressed by the stunning interior design and well-planned layout of these beautiful homes.

Nikki Gibson, Associate Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire, says: “Viewing a showhome is a great way for would-be homebuyers to truly picture themselves living at this exciting new development.

“Anyone who would like to find out more about the lifestyle they could be enjoying here at Wichelstowe is urged to come and view our two showhomes for themselves – they’re sure to be impressed by what they see!”

The ‘Flatford’ features a large living/dining room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, plus a kitchen/breakfast room and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway. Upstairs, the landing leads to an en-suite master bedroom, two further bedrooms and a main bathroom.

Meanwhile, the ‘Petford’ boasts a spacious kitchen/dining room with French doors and a utility room, with a living room and a guest cloakroom completing the ground-floor layout. Four bedrooms, including one with en-suite facilities, and a family bathroom are located upstairs.

The collection of stylish new homes available to reserve now at Wichelstowe includes two-bedroom coach houses priced from £142,000, two-bedroom houses from £175,000, three-bedroom designs from £232,000 and four-bedroom properties from £340,000.

There’s also a host of helpful homebuyer incentives available to make purchasing easier and more affordable – including the Help to Buy equity loan scheme.

Help to Buy enables eligible first-time buyers and those with a property to sell to secure a Government loan of up to 20% of their new home’s full price – so they only need a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a deposit as low as 5%.

The scheme is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000 and there’s no salary cap for Help to Buy purchasers.

Alternatively, Part Exchange sees customers receive an agreed offer price for their existing property, based on the average of independent valuations, and with Taylor Wimpey as their cash buyer, they can relax in their old place until their new home is ready.

Close to Swindon's town centre – with its array of shopping, leisure and entertainment opportunities – the railway station and the M4 motorway, the new community of Wichelstowe offers something for everybody, from first-time buyers and growing families to commuters and the newly retired.

This sustainable new neighbourhood will eventually comprise 4,500 homes plus schools, community facilities, shops, open spaces, footpaths and cycleways and even a 4.5km extension to the Wiltshire and Berkshire Canal.

House-hunters can experience the stunning new showhomes at Wichelstowe by visiting the development, located in Trecastle Road, off Croft Road, Swindon, and open daily between 10am and 5pm (Mondays 1pm to 5pm). Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
