Taylor Wimpey is preparing for the summer launch of a brand new collection of expertly-designed homes in beautiful Bitterne, Southampton.

The leading housebuilder will unveil its exclusive portfolio of just 32 properties to discerning property-hunters on Saturday 5th September, 2015.

The stylish Valley Gardens development will comprise a stunning selection of one, two, three, four and five-bedroom properties. The first homes to hit the market will be four and five-bedroom designs with prices announced at the launch.

Situated on the eastern fringes of sought-after Southampton, the new development enjoys an ideal location in Freemantle Common Road – within easy reach of Bitterne’s handy amenities and just three miles away from the extensive retail, leisure and cultural opportunities available in the bustling city centre.

The launch weekend for Valley Gardens will allow aspiring buyers to be among the first in line to choose from the initial selection of plots.

Fiona Creed, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “We’ve already received considerable interest in this exciting development and I would urge would-be movers to come along to the launch if they want to stand the best chance of securing the home of their dreams.

“These beautiful contemporary homes will be perfect for those who want a stylish property in a vibrant community which benefits from having an abundance of city centre amenities close to home.”

The new development is located in the eastern Southampton suburb of Bitterne which retains rural charm around the focal point of old Bitterne village. There’s a host of amenities on the doorstep for everyday needs, including a pedestrianised shopping precinct with high street and independent shops, a large Sainsbury’s supermarket, coffee shops, a gym, pubs, numerous restaurants and a weekly outdoor market.

Bitterne railway station is within easy reach of the new homes and offers regular services to Southampton in just 10 minutes, and to Portsmouth in under an hour.

Valley Gardens is a short drive from the heart of Southampton city centre, home to the impressive WestQuay Shopping Centre offering more than 150 shops and a wide selection of big-name retailers such as John Lewis and M&S.

The development is only a short hop from the rural splendour of the New Forest, and those who enjoy a sea breeze can find the coastline within easy reach.

Parents will appreciate the range of schools close by, including a pre-school and several primary schools within walking distance. Bitterne Park School for secondary-age pupils is just two miles from home and is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted. It is now undergoing a multi-million pound expansion and redevelopment to provide a state-of-the-art kitchen, dining hall, sporting facilities, a 360-seat theatre and 80 new classrooms.

For commuters, the nearby M27 offers quick access to the region’s motorway network, while frequent rail services operate from Southampton station direct to London Waterloo and Victoria.
