Yamaha Race Stars visit the NEC!

Troy Corser MotoGP, World Superbike, BSB and TT stars have all visited the Yamaha stand at the NEC ‘Motorcycle Show’ to try the all new YZF-R1 for size and meet their fans!

Firstly new Yamaha World Superbike signing, Troy Corser, made a surprise first public appearance on Press and Trade Day after a successful R1 shakedown test. Troy will be riding alongside Noriyuki Haga in the 2007 World Superbike Championship.

On Monday, MotoGP star Colin Edwards jetted in and made many a happy show-goer with an extended autograph and picture session on the Yamaha stand. Colin will again be partnering Rossi, now on the new 800cc YZF-M1.

Also making several appearances have been Yamaha UK’s top R1 racers for 2007; Tommy Hill and Guy Martin. Tommy will be campaigning the new R1 for Virgin Mobile Yamaha under the stewardship of Rob McElnea. Guy Martin will be gunning for ‘Roads’ glory with AIM Yamaha; contesting the IOM TT, NW200 and Ulster GP on both the YZF-R1 and YZF-R6 machines.

Yamaha UK’s full racing line-up will be announced soon.

The NEC Motorcycle Show continues until Sunday 5th November, visit the Yamaha stand to see new models including the YZF-R1, XJR1300, FZ6 Fazer S2, XVS1300, Mopeds, Scooters, Enduro, MX and Quad machines.

Also on display; Rossi’s M1, Haga’s R1, Everts YZ450F and a full cutaway technical model of the new YZF-R1.
