Celebrate 10 Years of R-Series Supersport Bikes

29th February 2008 Print
Yamaha are extremely proud to invite motorcycle fans everywhere to help us celebrate a decade of R-Series motorcycles, started by the iconic and original YZF-R1 back in 1998.

The date is Saturday 15th March, the place : an authorised participating Yamaha dealer near you (see Rseries10.com for participating dealers).

Alongside a myriad of Yamaha motorcycles and scooters, including the razor sharp 2008 YZF-R6, bike enthusiasts who visit participating Yamaha retailers will have the opportunity to enter a fabulous Yamaha competition. Three lucky people will win a place on the Yamaha Race Acadamy (YRA) comprising a VIP weekend at the Spanish MotoGP being held at the Circuit de Catalunya. From there, the winners of this free to enter competition will be whisked off to the unique Ascari Race Circuit in Southern Spain where they will share the track with a selection of Yamaha race stars and be mentored by Yamaha’s race school instructors while sampling the famous circuit’s great twists and turns.

The competition to win one of 3 places on the YRA can only be entered on Saturday 15th March at participating Yamaha dealers. Visitors will complete an entry form on the day, place it in the competition box provided and cross their fingers!

In addition, 50 lucky customers who visit a participating Yamaha dealer visitors will have the opportunity to collect a special prize envelope containing a unique DVD containing a tutorial by Rossi on how to ride like him, plus a special collectors edition of INSIDER magazine where you can read all about Vale, what he thinks about the new R6 and also a comprehensive race season review. See in-store for how this spot prize can be won.

Of course, the Zero Worship promotion will still be on offer at that time (zero percent finance – APR typical – over 2.5 years) – available on no less that 16 Yamaha models including the YZF-R1 and R6!
