New Haynes Yamaha FZ6 Fazer manual

16th June 2008 Print
With a power unit borrowed from the R6, this new generation FZ6 Fazer is a far cry from the FZS600 which was the mainstay of Yamaha’s mid-range for many years. The engine is slightly de-tuned from the unit used in its supersport stablemate, and sits in an all-new lightweight diecast frame, with MotoGP-style underseat exhaust. Available in both faired (S model) and unfaired (N model) variants, with the refinements of ABS on later models and the revamped S2 models in 2007.

To assist Fazer owners to maintain their motorbikes (and save on expensive bike shop bills), Haynes has launched a new Yamaha FZ6 Fazer manual. Haynes manuals have a reputation every bit as enviable as that of Yamaha. Indeed, Haynes manuals for cars and motorcycles are so popular that 150 million have been sold worldwide. That's more than all the motorcycles in America.

In the manual, important pre-ride checks and routine maintenance are dealt with as well as major repairs. A Yamaha Fazer was completely dismantled and then re-assembled, as with all Haynes manuals, to gather this information. Only by doing this is Haynes able to give comprehensive instructions for overhauling the engine, transmission, brakes, suspension and electrical system – complemented by numerous drawings and illustrations. The accurate instructions are complemented by details about the tools required for each job, and its complexity, plus Haynes tips for saving time and money. Wiring diagrams, fault-finding charts and an explanation of technical terms are among the subjects covered in the reference pages.

Models covered:
FZ6-S/SA Fazer. 600cc. 2004 to 2007
FZ6-N/NA. 600cc. 2004 to 2007
FZ6 Fazer S2. 600cc. 2007 to 2008
