Videogame launch gets the Giggles from Yamaha Activision, the videogame developer, recently appointed Sublime Promotions to run a nationwide games sampling road show to showcase the latest instalment of the Guitar Hero Franchise: Guitar Hero On Tour.

Sublime Promotions toured selected city centres and major seaside resorts, coinciding with the start of the school holidays, to promote the launch of the new game, developed for Nintendo’s DS games console, featuring a unique ‘guitar grip peripheral’.

To capitalise on the game’s key feature of portability, Sublime Promotions enlisted the Help of Yamaha and a 5 strong fleet of their remarkable 50cc Giggle scooters.

Promotional staff were sent out on the ‘Guitar Hero On Tour’ branded Giggles, to demonstrate the new videogame to as many consumers as possible, before inviting them back the main ‘rock stage’ style display located in prominent positions in each city.

At the main stand customers were then able to sample the full Guitar Hero game and challenge their friends to a guitar battle.

Yamaha’s funky Giggle was the obvious choice for the promotion, with it’s 4-stroke 50cc fuel injected engine returning on average 100mpg, it is easy to ride and gentle on the environment whilst it’s styling appeals to the younger videogame generation.

Simon Belton, Marketing Manager of Yamaha Motor UK said “We were very pleased to be involved with Activision’s promotion. The Giggle is designed specifically to attract young people and the Guitar Hero Tour was a perfect fit for us to promote this great bike”.
