Why Florida is the top US state in which to live

2nd January 2016 Print

A new poll has just backed up what everyone at leading real estate developer and agent, Feltrim Group, knows - that Florida is the number one state in which to live.

Florida topped the list of states that Americans most want to live, The Harris Poll found. Participants were not allowed to vote for their current state. In 2013, when the poll was last taken, Florida came third.

California came second, but it also topped the list of states where people least want to live.

Orlando was also named in the top 10 most desired cities by 2,232 US adults surveyed online from 11-16 November 2015.

Sunshine and waterfront acreage are consistent themes cited behind the appeal of the table-topping states and destinations.

Of course, Central Florida has much more appeal than just warmth and water. There’s the area’s world-class theme parks, including Disney, Universal, Legoland and SeaWorld and with various new blockbuster rides planned for 2016, including Frozen Ever After, at Disney Epcot and Skull Island: Reign of Kong, at Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure.

Don’t forget the area’s range of top-class golf courses and professional sports teams, including basketball side Orlando Magic and soccer team Orlando City.

Then there is the superb range of shops, restaurants and bars, including those at the new Disney Springs area.

All-in-all there’s nowhere better than the Central Florida area to purchase a vacation property, buy-to-let home or retirement unit.

Garrett Kenny, Chief Executive Officer of Feltrim Group says, “Orlando property values have risen by more than 10% in the last year and have shown annual rises for 52 consecutive months.

“It’s no wonder that Feltrim Group has had strong interest in our newest luxury lakeside project, Balmoral at Waters Edge, from investors both from home and internationally."

Balmoral at Waters Edge is set in within a 113-acre community featuring natural and man-made lakes and impeccably landscaped gardens.

The private gated project features Tuscan-style architect-designed homes, plus a host of top-class leisure facilities, including a resort-style pool with luxury clubhouse, mini waterpark, lakeside beach, gym and spa, gourmet kitchen, restaurant and more.
