Last weekend’s dominant display by the HM Plant Honda British Superbike rider Ryuichi Kiyonari has capped a successful few weeks of racing for Honda.

The reigning Champion’s double win at Croft was backed-up by his young team-mate Jonathan Rea who took two second places. The pair now sit in first and second place respectively in the championship with just three rounds remaining.

In the British Motocross Championship, complete domination by the CAS Honda team in the MX1 and MX2 classes at Brampton last weekend sets up the mouth-watering possibility of a Honda double championship win. Reigning British MX1 champ Ken De Dycker won both motos and the overall win leaving him just eight points behind series leader Billy MacKenzie with the final round to come on 15 September at Pontrilas. Team-mate Mike Brown also won his races, leaving him 12 points clear at the top of the MX2 points table.

Meanwhile on the world stage, Honda’s awesome new-for-2007 CBR600RR has won the World Supersport Championship for the sixth season in succession! HANNspree Ten Kate Honda rider Kenan Sofuoglu took the title at the Brands Hatch round of the World Supersport series, with three rounds still to go. The 23-year-old has dominated the World Supersport title chase, winning five of the first six races. The team has won the World Supersport title for the last six seasons, while in the UK the CBR600 has won nine of the last 15 British Supersport titles, most recently with Cal Crutchlow last season. This year, the CBR600 celebrates its 20th birthday.

In the World Superbike arena, HANNspree Ten Kate Honda rider James Toseland leads the series by 66 points with just three meetings to go. His most recent victories came in front of more than 120,000 jubilant fans at Brands Hatch where he took his first ever double-win. With just 150 points available, up to the final round at Magny-Cours on 7 October, things are looking good for the title – which would be the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade’s first ever World Championship victory.
