Honda Motorcycles raises money for NSPCC Honda (UK) is pleased to have raised more than £4,000 for the NSPCC, following a donation giving initiative by the Honda Motorcycle division at the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show in December.

Aware of the need for strong carrier bags to hold motorcycle show purchases and giveaways, but also conscious of environmental issues, Honda Motorcycles chose to produce large and re-usable fabric branded bags for the NEC show, with a suggested donation of £1 per bag. The generous motorcycle show visitors dug deep and a fantastic £4,342.13 was raised.

Honda (UK)’s staff collectively choose three charities to support each year, with the NSPCC being one of the current nominated charities along with BEN (the automotive industry charity) and The Woodland Trust. Honda (UK) staff chose the NSPCC for the second consecutive year following the charity’s high profile presence in the national media, demonstrating its inspiring work and campaigns with young people.

Sarah Pyser, NSPCC Account Manager (Corporate Partnerships) said, “The NSPCC is absolutely delighted to be working with Honda (UK) for a second year, especially as we were nominated by staff! To receive this money means so much to the NSPCC and it will go towards our school teams’ work. School teams’ offer counseling support to children and young people about their problems, no matter how big or small so they can make the most of their lives.”

Simon Gardiner, Manager of Marketing Operations for Honda (UK) said, "I'm really pleased with the amount we raised at the NEC show – it just goes to show that the motorcycling public are a big-hearted bunch who are only too willing to support a great cause. The NSPCC does vital work and every penny raised has gone straight to them to ensure they can keep their good work going."
