New Honda motorcycle dealer opens in Rochdale

An all-new Honda motorcycle dealer, Rochdale Honda, has opened its doors at Milnrow Road in Rochdale - ideally placed to serve current bikers and those new to two-wheels across the Oldham and Rochdale regions of Lancashire.

Rochdale Honda sees the expertise of dealer principals Kevin Goodwin and Stuart Phethean come together in a newly-refurbished dealership, in this prime location just 20 minutes from Manchester city centre.

The dealership offers both new and used bikes, servicing, Honda genuine parts, a large range of bike accessories and riding gear - including Honda’s own Joe Rocket range of motorcycling apparel - as well as the highest standards of service backed by a knowledgeable team of staff with a wealth of experience, as well as full training on every model in the range from Honda’s award-winning technical Institute.

Joint principal Kevin Goodwin said, “Stuart and I are old friends – we used to motocross together a long time ago and we still find the time to head out off-road! Stuart has around 25-years of experience in the trade and I joined him about 13 years ago. I ran parts, accessories and the workshop while he ran the sales side of things. We already had the Milnrow Road premises and so decided to make a fresh and exciting start with Honda.”

Making the move was an easy decision, according to Kevin. “Hondas are special and I don’t think you’ll find anyone who rides a bike that doesn’t have fondness for them. They’ve always had excellent build quality and a superb finish to their products, large or small, and a range that has something suitable for everyone.”

Kevin added that all the staff are looking forward to welcoming customers old and new to their premises on Milnrow Road, saying, “We’re still building the team, but we guarantee a friendly atmosphere and are happy to see people even if they just want to pop in for a brew. It’s early days but we do plan to hold an open day soon and then some ride outs and track day events to just enjoy motorcycling with our customers. This is a new venture and Honda has been great in helping to get us up and running. Despite the fears of the credit crunch, we’ve got a very positive attitude and we’ll be doing all we can to look after current and new motorcyclists in this great biking area.”
