What Van? readers vote Ford Transit best van

The Ford Transit has won another accolade – the 2005 readers award for What Van? magazine and its online website.

Transit Connect wins overall light commercial vehicle and best security, each for the third time and Transit wins best security for the second time. Also sharing the winners platform today is Fiesta Van, named overall winner for second time since its arrival in 2003.

The iconic Ford Transit has received three Awards in total in Britain this year so far. Gary Whittam, Ford of Britain commercial vehicles director said: "These results are fantastic news, particularly the readers award. We have spent 2005 celebrating 40 years of continuous success for Transit but the real heroes are the owners and operators who recognise the quality and dependability that makes Transit a leader. We'd like to thank all What Van? readers and online visitors for voting for their favourite van."
