12th July 2006 Print
New Ford Transit 2006 Transit Specialist Dealers across the county are going all-out this month to make the new Ford Transit available to Britain's builders plumbers, electricians and small operators to drive for the first time.

With prices from £13,150, new Transit offers standard features such as: CD/radio, ABS with disc brakes all round, full steel bulkhead, front mud flaps, high-output alternator, upgraded starter motor and upgraded security systems.

The new distinctive front-end styling, improved driving dynamics, dashboard-mounted gear lever and high tech features for the driver make the new Transit a great business proposition. It has the first self-charging ignition key available from a wide range of specifications, including for the first time, leather seats.

The seven all-new engines, six diesel, one petrol, give an improved ride and, combined with other engineering improvements, make for a quieter environment.

From today, more and more people will be talking about Britain's new and stylish van as it appears on the roads and in radio and TV campaigns. A new microsite for Transit also goes live today on www.fordvans.co.uk.

Steve Kimber, director of commercial vehicles, Ford of Britain, said: "We have the largest network of Transit Specialist Dealers who are trained to understand the needs of our customers, not just as drivers, but as serious professional business owners. We are very proud of the new Transit. Its new design, together with its leading edge technology will create a great experience for everyone who takes a test drive."
