Six What Van? Awards for Ford commercial vehicles

22nd November 2006 Print
Six What Van? Awards for Ford commercial vehicles Judges at Britain's well known van magazine, What Van?, have awarded six gold winner badges to Ford's 2006 range of commercial vehicles.

What Van? Editor, Neil McIntee, presented the awards at a special London ceremony. Transit collected the Best Security award for the third successive year and Transit Connect won Best Security for the fifth time. Fiesta Van has now clocked up the Best Small Van award three times – every year since it was launched. Also sharing the stage were Transit Minibuses and the very successful Ford One-Stop-Shop conversions range which dominates the British conversion market.

Steve Kimber, commercial vehicles (CV) director, Ford of Britain, said: "It's been an amazing year for Ford, now made even more significant with this superb recognition from the What Van? judges. Every model in the Ford CV range has been developed in 2006, to keep our vans at the top of people's minds when they need dependable transport.

"That dependability is never better tested than with the minibus range: thousands of schools, sports teams, charities and taxi companies rely on Transit to move people safely and comfortably.

"These awards are a testament to Transit and its siblings which appear in many forms. The configurable unlocking, hands-free phones, waterproof key fob and self-charging ignition key are just some of the features in the new models that get Transit noticed as a true winner."
