Members of the Armed Forces are being offered a fantastic opportunity to secure their ideal home for less at Taylor Wimpey’s Alver Village development in Gosport, Hampshire.

The leading housebuilder’s Armed Forces Discount is available at the development, meaning eligible purchasers can receive an incredible £5,000 off the price of their brand new home – or, under the Forces Help to Buy scheme, they can secure an interest-free loan of up to 50% of their annual salary to put towards the cost of their first home or to help them move house!

Gosport is a former naval town which retains strong links with the Royal Navy, still being home to HMS Sultan, and Alver Village has been proving popular with Service personnel.

Roz Wells, Associate Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “These initiatives are a way of showing our appreciation to the men and women who do such a fantastic job in service of their country.

“They can provide a big helping hand for Service personnel looking to purchase their dream home in a great location with such a long association with the Royal Navy.”

The Forces Help to Buy scheme enables Servicemen and women to borrow up to 50% of their annual salary, interest-free, to buy their first home or move to another property on assignment or as their families’ needs change. Purchasers can borrow up to a maximum of £25,000 and the normal term of the loan is 10 years.

Alternatively, the regular Help to Buy initiative lets qualifying purchasers access a 20% equity loan from the Government towards the cost of their new property – so they only require a 5% deposit and a 75% loan-to-value mortgage. Full details are available from the Sales Executive.

There’s a superb selection of new two, three and four-bedroom homes currently available to reserve at Alver Village from £187,000.

Alver Village is located in Gosport on a peninsula jutting out into the Solent which is connected by ferry to Portsmouth.

The development has its own community centre and community square, as well as a thriving shopping area featuring a new 20,000 sq ft Tesco supermarket, a pharmacy, a Costa coffee shop and a Subway. Gosport town centre, boasting restaurants and bars, museums and a range of water sports, is just a short distance away.

Parents will appreciate the choice of schools for children of all ages within easy reach of home, including Gomer Infant School, which is rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, and Lee-On-the-Solent Infant School and Siskin, Grange and Gomer Junior Schools, which are all rated ‘good’ and are less than a mile from the development.

Commuters will enjoy easy access to Junction 11 of the M27, which is convenient for Portsmouth, Fareham or Southampton.

The Alver Village Sales Information Centre is located off Grange Road, Rowner, Gosport, Hampshire, PO13 8AP, and open daily from 10am to 5pm (Mondays 1pm to 5pm).
