Ford secures major fleet deal

12th February 2007 Print
Ford has been selected as the solus supplier to a 500 strong vehicle fleet by leading UK security, facilities management and business process outsourcing company, Reliance Security Group plc.

Among the reasons for choosing Ford were low whole life cycle costs, improved servicing and repair arrangements and its high standards of engineering and durability. The Ford Transit Connect is well suited to Reliance's requirements. Also appreciated was Ford’s commitment to working closely with fleet customers to best meet their individual requirements.

Ford’s director of fleet operations, Kevin Griffin, said: "Reliance demands much from its fleet in terms of versatility, reliability, low running costs and good residual values. Our new range of cars and light commercials is a perfect fit for their needs. We have also worked hard to provide the best fleet support systems and the conclusion of this deal with Reliance is a testament to the work we have been doing with our fleet customers."

Reliance employs over 13,000 people in the UK and provides services ranging from security to facilities management for blue chip customers such as HBoS, BAE Systems, BT, FedEx. It also manages business process outsourcing for many Police Authorities, HM Prison Service and the criminal justice sector throughout the UK.

Reliance will take vehicles from across the Ford model range of cars and light commercials, including the Transit Connect and the award-winning Ford Focus.
