14th July 2006 Print
Performance increased for all 2007 Harley-Davidson Touring models The ride will be that much sweeter for Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycles, which get improved power, performance and comfort for 2007.

With the addition of the new Twin Cam 96 engine, 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission, active intake and exhaust system (which was specially developed by Harley-Davidson for European spec motorcycles) and a reduction in clutch lever effort, the Touring family of six motorcycles answers the call for long distance riding.

By adding a more powerful engine, the ride gets even better with improved acceleration and more relaxed cruising. Combining Harley-Davidson style with innovations like the 6-speed transmission and lower cruising revs, make these bikes the ultimate in touring in style and comfort.

The higher level of engine technology provides excellent passing power with a smooth feeling ride and reduced clutch lever effort. The Touring family also features a chassis expressly designed for eating up the miles. The introduction of a highly innovative and sophisticated active air intake and exhaust technology system significantly improves power, torque and sound quality (whilst meeting European noise and emission regulations) and provides the soundtrack to an impressive line-up of new developments.

All Harley-Davidson models for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region feature an upgraded security system as standard. The new Harley-Davidson Smart Security System offers hands-free operation courtesy of a proximity sensor that detects the presence of the security fob.

FLHX Street Glide

The FLHX Street Glide has proved to be the perfect motorcycle for riders seeking a strong custom look coupled with great touring comfort. Taking its key styling cues directly from design trends in the custom marketplace, the Street Glide is equipped with the traditional “batwing” fairing, the Advanced Audio System by Harman/Kardon®, hard saddlebags, air-adjustable Touring rear suspension and triple-disc brakes.

Special trim fills the gap between the rear fender and saddlebags with neat detailing to the bottom of the fender. Black slotted cast wheels and slash-up mufflers further emphasise the low profile, while subtle details like colour-matched saddlebag latches add to the clean look of the motorcycle.

“Streamliner” footboards, brake pedal and passenger pegs add to the Street Glide’s custom styling. A stretched, chrome fuel tank console features a special smoked-chrome emblem.
