Hundreds of homeowners have long declared the Henley one of the most stylish designs in Redrow’s stunning stable – and now a Chorley show home has been honoured on the national stage.

The Henley show home at Lucas Green, in Whittle-le-Woods, was highly commended in the Interior Design Show Home North West England category of the UK Property Awards.

An executive four-bedroom detached home, The Henley is among the most impressive, with a double garage, two en-suite bedrooms and a generously proportioned family, dining and kitchen area, which will inevitably become the heart of the family home.

“It is important that the show home portrays this property at its best,” says Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), “and, clearly, the example at Lucas Green has done so admirably.

“The house is designed very much for today’s family and the interior design had to reflect this, with the family living area appealing to a wide range of tastes in terms of style and practicality, as this is where everyone will gather, be happy and have fun.

“But it was important too that the private areas, both the lounge and bedrooms, were havens for relaxation. The award is a testimony to the talent and hard work of Redrow’s interior designer team and the company which executed the design, Show Business Interiors.”

Emma Brindley, Redrow’s group interior design manager, oversaw the process of designing and dressing the Henley show home at Lucas Green and started from the premise of the family who might live in it and their lifestyle.

She explains: “Discerning people with a penchant for the finer things in life, the imagined home owners are professional people with teenage children and have worked hard for a good standard of living which their home should reflect.

“Tasteful and elegant, this would be their final family home, the one which finally acknowledges their achievements, their success in achieving the goals they created at the start of their journey together. They can finally sit back and enjoy the fruits of their labours.

“Above all, it is cosy and comfortable with a touch of class and, clearly, an abundance of star quality - which the judges could see.”

The UK Property Awards success is the latest of several honours for Lucas Green. Only last month the Henley was a finalist in two categories of the North West Property Awards - Best House and Show Home of the Year - and the development was a Bronze winner at the 2015 What House awards for Best Landscape.

A contributory factor to the earlier landscaping award was the restoration of a rare Grade II listed pill box and gun mounting originally installed to defend the Royal Ordnance Factory at Chorley against attack. The area around the WW2 monument has been landscaped as a central feature of the development’s public open space.

The much decorated Henley show home promotes the latest phase of Lucas Green, The Royals. Close to some stunning Lancashire countryside, it boasts a collection of four and five-bedroom detached executive homes from Redrow’s Arts & Crafts inspired Heritage Collection, which combines traditional architecture and craftsmanship with stylish, spacious and modern interiors. Current prices are from £441,995.
