Scores of eager buyers attended an invitation-only preview of new Redrow homes at the landmark Alconbury Weald development in Cambridgeshire.

Staff from award-winning Redrow were still setting up for the invitation-only VIP launch when potential purchasers began arriving two hours before the sales office opened.

The sales team is now working with would-be homeowners keen to buy at the just-launched venture.

Tonia Tyler, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), said: “The preview event was well attended and we’ve had lots of positive feedback from people who want to be part of the new community that’s taking shape at Alconbury Weald. The initial release includes four-bedroom designs and as work progresses we’ll also be increasing the choice of homes available including three and five-bedroom properties.

“Some of those who’ve already enquired have expressed an interest in homes not yet released for sale, while others have a house to sell and perhaps are yet to put that property on the market. If they don’t act now there’s a chance they could miss out on their dream move when their preferred property is released for sale.”

The Redrow homes at Alconbury Weald are bespoke to the development. Externally they will look very traditional, taking inspiration from the Arts & Crafts era, while inside they will be bright and modern, with a high specification.

Current prices are from £339,950 for a four-bedroom detached Stratford style home. The properties are being sold ‘off plan’ with show homes due to open in the summer.
