Off-street parking is more sought after than ever amongst homeowners in the UK, with new research by Direct Line revealing nearly 30,000 new dropped kerb applications were approved in 2015. With allocated parking for each property, the newly launched Mendini Apartments at homebuilder Countryside’s Aura development, at Great Kneighton in Cambridge, are ideal for buyers for whom convenient parking is a priority.

The Mendini Apartments is a contemporary collection of just 12 two-bedroom apartments, boasting at least one luxurious decked terrace, large open-plan living spaces with stylish kitchens, and generously-sized double bedrooms. As part of the new urban village of Great Kneighton, the homes at Aura are set amid green open spaces and tree-lined avenues and will benefit from an extensive range of new amenities such as schools, a health and community centre, shops, a library, offices, sports pitches and a 120-acre country park.

David Everett, Managing Director of Countryside’s New Homes & Communities Central Region comments: “Off-street parking is one of the most in-demand property features, and a lack of parking spaces can often be a deal-breaker for buyers. With allocated parking for all 12 apartments in the Mendini building, residents need never worry about where to leave their car when they return home at the end of a long day.”

The Mendini Apartments have been thoughtfully designed, and offer an exceptional internal specification. Each apartment features a large, open-plan kitchen, living and dining room, which opens onto a terrace, providing the perfect space for relaxing or entertaining all year round. All of the master bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and an en suite shower room, and in some of the apartments, the bedrooms also have access to a decked terrace.

The kitchens are fitted with high quality composite stone worktops, modern white gloss handleless units and a full range of energy-efficient integrated appliances, including a stainless steel single oven, combination microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, and warming drawer. Bathrooms and en suite shower rooms have white sanitary ware, chrome accessories and cream ceramic floor and wall tiles.

Just over three miles away, Cambridge city centre is home to a fantastic variety of independent restaurants and shops. Nestled between charming passages and beautiful architecture, a whole range of activities are on offer, whether punting through the College Backs of Cambridge, or soaking up the cultural city’s wide range of art and theatre.

Aura is within easy reach of the Great Kneighton access point for the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway, which provides a five-minute journey to Cambridge train station, and then into the city centre. Frequent services from the station into London King’s Cross take as little as 49 minutes, making Cambridge a popular choice with commuters. The development is also just a few minutes from the M11 for London, Stansted Airport and the nearby towns of Newmarket, Huntingdon and Norwich.

Prices for the two-bedroom Mendini Apartments currently start from £425,000. Help to Buy is available on selected plots. The marketing suite and show home are open 7 days a week, from 10am until 5pm. For further information, visit auracambridge.co.uk.
