First-time buyers are being urged to attend an open weekend at Taylor Wimpey’s Mayberry Place development in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, where they can discover the fabulous range of starter homes available!

Aspiring homeowners can find out all there is to know about taking their first step on the property ladder at the special First-Time Buyer event, which will take place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th July, and there’ll be plenty of fantastic deals on offer too!

An independent financial advisor will be available between 10am and 4pm on the Saturday to answer any questions would-be buyers may have, while the Sales Executive will be on hand throughout the weekend to explain all about the wonderful homes at Mayberry Place.

Help to Buy, enables eligible first-time buyers and those with a property to sell to secure a Government loan for up to 20% of their new home’s full price – so they only require a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a deposit as low as 5%.

What’s more, those reserving during the event only need a £99 reservation fee, while Taylor Wimpey is offering to pay the stamp duty on selected apartments reserved over the weekend to give buyers a helping hand!*

With apartments priced from £222,500, that’s a free gift of at least £1,950 towards the cost of moving!

Jack Costello, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Our First-Time Buyer Weekend at Mayberry Place is an event that’s not to be missed for anyone who wants to take their first step on the property ladder.

“Visitors will be able to learn all there is to know about living at this wonderful development and about the selection of apartments that will be ready to move into in December and January.”

For example, the two-bedroom ‘Misbourne House’ apartment (plot 1948), priced at £222,500, boasts an open-plan kitchen/living room, two well-proportioned bedrooms, a main bathroom and a handy storage cupboard. Outside, the property benefits from allocated parking.

Alternatively, there is a fantastic collection of three and four-bedroom houses available at Mayberry Place, priced from £345,000 and £380,000 respectively.

Help to Buy is available with new-build homes up to £600,000 and there’s no salary cap for purchasers taking advantage of the scheme.

Mayberry Place forms part of Aylesbury’s stunning new Berryfields community which will comprise community facilities and employment opportunities alongside more than 3,000 homes. Two state-of-the-art schools, for primary and secondary-age pupils, opened in 2013, and there are also plans for a second primary school.

A local centre will include a food store and ten other smaller shops, while acres of green open spaces, including a riverside park area, will also feature 13 equipped play areas for families to enjoy. A community centre provides a focal point for the residents of the new homes and a new health centre is also planned.

The First-Time Buyer Event takes place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th July from 10am to 5.30pm at the Mayberry Place Sales Information Centre, located at 3 Moorcroft Lane, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, HP18 0UR. Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
