Peugeot LCVs – a class act able to meet any challenge

Peugeot LCVs – a class act able to meet any challenge With the Peugeot Expert van range and its sister vehicles being awarded the 2008 Van of The Year award, Peugeot have never had a stronger range of LCV vehicles.

The whole range of Peugeot LCV vehicles is going through a rejuvenation which started back in October 2006 with the launch of the new Boxer, then the new Expert in February 2007 and the Peugeot 207 van in September 2007. The newest entrant to the range, the Peugeot Bipper will join the range in May 2008.

The comprehensive range of vehicles offers load volumes from 1.1 m3 to 17m3 and payloads of 450 kg to 1910 kg.

Whether it’s a van to move documents or small parcels, a van for mobile engineers, a mobile work station or large loads, there is a Peugeot light commercial vehicle up to the task.

The range includes, panel vans, window vans, chassis cabs, floor cabs and crew cabs. All Peugeot LCVs are powered by Peugeot’s class leading HDi diesel engines which ensure great driveability with low operating costs. Extended service intervals of two years mean less vehicle downtime and greater operating efficiency.

Environmental protection is also a key strength of the Peugeot LCV range. All Peugeot LCVs powered by an HDi diesel engine can also operate on a 30% mixture of biodiesel; petrol models can operate on a 10% ethanol mix without any engine modifications.

The Peugeot Expert HDi 136 also has a diesel particulate filter system to reduce even further exhaust particle emissions.

The Range

The Peugeot 207 van provides car-like comfort and driving dynamic combined with an HDi diesel engine which offers a combined fuel consumption of 62.8 mpg and CO2 emissions of only 120 g/km, perfect for operating in the proposed congestion zone.

Next, the new Peugeot Bipper will bring class leading flexibility and a payload of 610 kg, with all the convenience that its electronically controlled gearbox provides for drivers in busy urban areas. It also, like the 207 Van has low CO2 emissions of just 119 g/km.

The oldest, but still very capable Peugeot Partner, bridges the gap between the Bipper and the Expert range with a payload range of 600 to 800 kg and the convenience of two sliding side doors to make loading and unloading as easy as possible.

The Expert van is available in two wheelbase lengths – standard and long wheel base – and offers a load capacity of 5m3, 6m3 and in the high roof version 7m3; all combined with a high level of standard safety, both active and passive and driver comfort levels not normally found in a light commercial vehicle.

The final vehicle in the range is the Peugeot Boxer van. With class leading axle weights of 2100 kg (front) and 2400 kg (rear), it is available in four wheelbase lengths, three roof heights and powered by a class leading 2.2 litre HDi diesel engine or a 3.0 litre HDi diesel engine which produces 157 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. With a load volume range of 8 to 17 m3 and a payload range of 1155 kg to 1910 kg it is the Lion King of the range.
