A new housing development has opened its doors to visitors in Hoo St Werburgh, Kent.

Nightingale Rise is located off Bells Lane, on the site of the former Rochester Sports and Social Club, and will comprise 232 new homes, including two, three and four-bedroom properties.

With construction making good progress, housebuilder Bellway has now opened a sales centre on site and released the first plots for sale.

Sales Director for Bellway Kent, Mark Harrop, said: “We have already taken several reservations since launching the site on Saturday 23rd June and the initial interest levels have been high.

“The development offers an excellent range of house types. Whether you are looking for a two-bedroom apartment or a two to four-bedroom home, first-time buyers, downsizers and those looking to move up the property ladder due to growing families will find something to suit their needs.

“Due to the high volume in demand, it is anticipated that prices on the development will rise as we release future phases, so we would encourage interested parties to make early reservations.

“We’re also delighted to be contributing towards the improvement of local facilities. We’re really pleased to be retaining the bowling green at the development, and we’re also investing more than £2 million in local infrastructure as part of the planning agreement for the new homes.”

Bellway’s financial contributions towards the local area include over £880,000 for education, £530,000 towards sports facilities and £544,000 on improvements to green spaces. A further £108,000 will go towards community facilities and £108,000 will be invested in local NHS facilities.

The sales centre at Nightingale Rise is located off Bells Lane, Hoo St Werburgh, and is open between 10am and 5pm from Friday to Monday with a late night opening on Thursday from midday until 7pm. The development is closed on a Tuesday and Wednesday. For more information visit bellway.co.uk.
