Free software at CV Show

The software that Road Tech will be giving away is the whole package and not a cut-down version. Once the program has been installed onto their PC, operators will have full, unrestricted and free use of Tachomaster for 28 days. At the end of the free-trial period, continued use of the system costs just one pound per driver per week and to use Tachomaster to manage digital vehicle data, is only 50p per vehicle per week.
Derek Beevor, Road Tech’s Managing Director said, “With new software any computer user now expects to be able to try before they buy. You try it and if you like it you pay, if you don’t, you don’t. Anyone who visits our stand at this year’s CV Show can do exactly that simply by collecting a CD from us. Obviously if they want to see a live demonstration of the system or find out more while they’re there, then we’re happy to do that too.”
Tachomaster makes tachograph analysis easy. Whether it’s Digital Drivers’ Cards, Analogue Charts or, a mixture of the two, Tachomaster will read, store and instantly analyse them in minutes.
Once the information has been uploaded to the Tachomaster servers, users are immediately and automatically advised of any infringements so they don’t have to wait to take remedial action.
With its comprehensive reporting suite, Tachomaster can present the tachograph information whichever way is required. As well as reporting on the tachograph themselves, the system also has many other useful tools including vehicle utilisation summaries and management-level analysis. Tachomaster also analyses the information it holds against the Road Transport Directive to ensure that drivers are complying with that too.
“Tachomaster is the only truly online tachograph analysis solution,” said Derek Beevor, “some firms that claim to be ‘online’ still ask you to send off images of analogue charts which they then sit down, analyse and send you back a report. To me that’s not an online service.
“An online service is like online banking. You want to log on, see your balance and look through your transactions. You don’t expect to send off a picture of your bank statement for someone to let you do that.”
Derek continued, “Whilst Tachomaster is being used by most of the UK’s leading hauliers and supermarkets, at £1 per driver per week it’s affordable for everyone. We like to keep everything simple so you pay by direct debit, there’s no contract or minimum term and you only pay for what you use.”
