Downton unveils new ‘team strip’ for drivers

The company wanted to introduce smart yet relaxed workwear for its 300 drivers, and decided on a rugby style top, dark trousers and a fleece. The new shirt sports the Downton name across the chest, as well as the logos of its two main suppliers, DAF Trucks and Cartright trailers.
“Projecting a professional company image is essential for us, both out on the road and when working on our clients’ premises,” explains Richard Downton, finance director. “We want our drivers to look smart and professional; they are our ambassadors the minute they get behind the wheel.
“We also wanted a style that was fresh and fun, as well as one that’s practical and easy for our employees to wear whatever the weather,” he added. “The association with Raging Bull gives us a strong sporting association as well, and helps us project a real team approach to the way we work.”
Added Phil Vickery, owner of Raging Bull: “Corporate clothing is a fast growing division of my clothing company, delivering high-quality yet affordable branded workwear. It’s great to work with successful businesses such as Downton, and like their logistics services our clothing is rugged, functional and of the highest quality.”
