TomTom WORK shows Prowaste the way out of the Dragons’ Den

Dragons’ Den victor, Paul Tinton, has chosen TomTom WORK’s vehicle management system to keep track of his fleet of compactor vehicles for Prowaste, the construction sector’s recycling and waste management specialist.

The co-owner of Prowaste recently appeared on the BBC Two show Dragons’ Den and came out with a massive £200,000 investment from Duncan Bannatyne and Deborah Meaden.

Prowaste operates a fleet of compactor vehicles across London, which can handle large volumes of recycling and waste in one visit – collecting up to 100 bins in an hour.

TomTom WORK’s vehicle tracking and fleet management system can speed up deliveries by avoiding collections at incorrect locations and reduce the cost of running a fleet through more efficient use of vehicles and savings in fuel.

“The connected navigation system offered by TomTom WORK was exactly what we were looking for – it’s smart, simple and reliable”, says co-owner of Prowaste, Paul Tinton.

The simple but highly effective solution provided by TomTom WORK involves the use of a LINK 300 ‘black box’ fleet management device fitted into each vehicle. This interacts with TomTom WEBFLEET, a web-based software solution providing real-time monitoring of vehicle movements.
