Get the freedom of the road
With Britain’s increasingly over-crowded roads, where can you go to get away and discover the freedom, space and stunning scenery that makes motorbike riding so exhilarating? The answer is just 24 hours away - South Island, New Zealand!
With a population of around one million people, the South Island offers wide-open spaces to ride through at your leisure, as well as the added enjoyment of safe, fume-free roads, and little or no traffic.
The bikes
VFR-NZ offers a range of bikes to choose from, but as its name suggests, is primarily based around the legendary Honda VFR 800. The bike is a sports tourer and renowned for its ride quality, durability and excitement. Each bike is supplied with three pieces of Givi ‘clip on’ luggage, and backed by 24-hour AA and Honda assistance. All bikes are suitable for solo, pillion passenger and small group touring.
Discover New Zealand
Explore New Zealand’s stunning South Island. After collecting your bike from VFR-NZ in the centre of Christchurch, you’re free to explore at your leisure. There’s the beautiful wine growing region of Marlborough in the north of the island and Fjordland to the south west, or there’s the dramatic tropical rainforest and Franz Joseph Glacier on the west coast, reached after an amazing ride across the Southern Alps and close by Mount Cook.
In the middle of the country is Queenstown where adrenalin junkies go to get their fix - from jet boating and white water rafting on the Shotover River, to heliskiing and bungee jumping with AJ Hacket.
Comments Robin Hughes, managing director of VFR-NZ: “We think this is the ultimate freedom holiday. In little more than 24 hours from Heathrow you can be in Christchurch, and the following day you will be cruising through some of the most stunning scenery in the world. For the true motor bike enthusiast, it doesn’t get much better than this!”
