Donington Park welcomes mystery star at final Bike Night

15th September 2009 Print
More than 300 motorcyclists are expected to gather at Donington Park’s Grand Prix Museum Cafe on Tuesday 22 September for the venue’s last bike night of the year. The free event’s usual Wednesday fixture has been moved to a Tuesday as a one-off to accommodate a visit from a mystery motorcycling star.

The evening kicks off at 6pm and bikers are asked to meet at the Grand Prix museum and cafe to enjoy hot drinks and food or take a free nostalgic tour of the famous Grand Prix museum. There’s also an opportunity for bikers to have a go at four-wheel racing in one of the Formula One or rally car simulators.

The Leicestershire parkland circuits introduced its monthly bike night in June this year and the uptake has been fantastic. However, with the nights drawing in and winter round the corner, September seemed an appropriate month to close the event until 2010.

Victoria Dexter, Donington Park’s Marketing Manager commented: “Our bike nights this year have been fantastic, so we needed to close the season with something spectacular. I think our plans fit the bill!”

Further guests and attractions will be announced at donington-park.co.uk as they are confirmed.
