T-Mobile launches new Flext package
Commenting on T-Mobile's new Flext tariff James Parker, broadband manager at moneysupermarket.com, said: "T-Mobile is now packing its Flext offering with even greater punch. This new move, which offers inclusive international calls, web'n'walk access and bundled minutes for 08 numbers makes the Flext option great value for money."T-Mobile is going that extra step to help its customers, not only is it helping them keep costs down through a tariff full of extra benefits, its helping them keep on top of their balances by providing weekly text alerts. In this current climate that single text could help someone save a lot of money.
"08 numbers are often for customer services and people are mostly calling them looking for help from their providers – the last thing they need is to be charged for it. Now T-Mobile has joined BT in ruling these charges out its time all the other mobile providers also stepped up."
Research conducted as part of moneysupermarket.com’s campaign to 'free the 0800' in November 2008 revealed:
On average in the past 12 months, just under half the adult population (41 per cent) has called an 0800 number from their mobile phone
Two thirds (69 per cent) of people who call 0800 numbers from their mobile have no idea how much they are actually charged for making the calls
80 per cent of people feel their mobile phone network should not charge for calls made to 0800 numbers
