DVLA sets bikers a challenge

DVLA Personalised Registrations is setting UK bikers a challenge - by inviting them to enter its latest competition to find Britain’s best scenic bike ride photographs.
Following on from last year’s hugely successful survey to find the most popular Bike Vistas in the UK, DVLA is now throwing down the gauntlet and challenging bikers to photograph their own favourite Biking Vista.
And to entice bikers to swap their helmets for their creative caps, DVLA Personalised Registrations is offering five pairs of tickets to this year’s International Motorcycle and Scooter Show, where the best shots will be showcased, while the overall winner will receive a £500 shopping voucher, courtesy of Bikers World, and the opportunity to attend a professional photoshoot with leading bike photographer, Chippy Wood. In addition, some of the shots will be show-cased in Practical Photography magazine.
To take part in the competition bikers simply need to visit dvlaregistrations.co.uk/vista2/ and submit their top bike vista shots – not forgetting of course to indicate the road names and locations of where they were taken!
There are two entry categories: digital photography which includes scanned photos and shots taken using mobile telephones.
Each day the top entries put forward will be added to a Bike Vista Gallery, where bikers will get the chance to see their entries alongside the stunning images of the most popular scenic rides captured by Chippy Wood in response to last year’s survey.
Louise Pierpoint, publicity manager for DVLA Personalised Registrations commented;
“Our Bike Vistas download, which enables you to create your own combination of stunning road scene and bike image for your pc desktop, has continued to be very popular with Britain’s bikers so it seems only natural to give them the opportunity to share their personal favourite locations with each other. And our unique prize should appeal to anyone who loves biking.”
Bikers World is one of the country’s leading retailers of motorcycle accessories. The £500 voucher will be redeemable at any one of the company’s five stands throughout the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show 2007. Additionally, it can be used at any Bikers World outlet.
