Abbey and cahoot increase rates on savings accounts

Following the increase in the Bank of England's base rate from 5.00 per cent to 5.25 per cent, Abbey and cahoot are increasing their savings rates.

Abbey Savings Rates

From 1 February 2007, all of Abbey's savings rates are increasing.

The Abbey Flexible Saver and Abbey Postal Account rise by 0.25 per cent to 3.90 per cent and 5.0 per cent respectively.

Abbey's child savings account - the Flexible Saver for Kids - increases 0.25 per cent to 5.00 per cent. Abbey's Child Trust Fund and the cash holding account for Abbey's stakeholder Child Trust Fund both rise 0.25 per cent to 5.25 per cent.

The Abbey eSaver increases by up to 0.25 per cent to an attractive 5.80. The Abbey Platinum Saving Account increases 0.20 per cent to 5.55 per cent.

All other savings accounts will increase by between 0.15 per cent and 0.25 per cent.

cahoot Savings Rates

From 7 February 2007, all savings rates on cahoots accounts are increasing by 0.25 per cent.
