Abbey increases rates on savings accounts

Following the increase in the Bank of England Base Rate from 5.25 per cent to 5.50 per cent, Abbey is increasing its savings rates by up to 0.80 per cent from 1 June 2007.

Branch Saver increases by up to 0.80 per cent, top rate 5.00 per cent

Flexible Saver increases by up to 0.60 per cent, top rate 4.50 per cent

Monthly Saver increases by up to 0.35 per cent, top rate 5.70 per cent

Flexible Saver for Kids up 0.30 per cent to 5.30 per cent

50+ Saver and eSaver up 0.25 per cent, top rate 6.05 per cent

Direct ISA up 0.25 per cent, top rate 6.00 per cent

Postal Account increases by 0.25 per cent across all tiers

In addition to the above changes, Abbey’s other savings accounts will increase.
