Alliance & Leicester Premier Regular Saver returns

Alliance & Leicester has announced the return of Premier Regular Saver, its best buy savings account offering a market-leading rate of 12.00% gross pa/AER.

From Monday 6th August 2007, and for a limited period, any customer signing up to Alliance & Leicester’s award winning Premier Current Account will be eligible for to the Premier Regular Saver, which pays 12.00% AER on regular savings for 12 months.

In addition, they will also receive 15 times as much interest on their current account balances than they would with most high street banks, a market leading 0% overdraft in their first year, and free annual European travel insurance. Savers can transfer anything from £10 to £250 per month from their Premier Current Account into their Premier Regular Saver Account.

Alliance & Leicester’s popular ‘Recommend a Friend’ offer is also available. From 1 August 2007, £25 will be paid to any existing customer who recommends a Premier or Premier Direct current account to a friend, as well as £25 being credited to the new customer’s account.

A market leading interest rate of 12.00% gross pa / AER

Fixed monthly payments of between £10 and £250

At the end of the 12-month period, the balance, including interest will be paid into the customer’s Premier current account.

Customers can access the Premier Regular Saver 12% savings account by applying for an Alliance & Leicester Premier Current Account, which offers customers free European annual multi-trip travel insurance, and a 1.50% AER credit interest rate coupled with 0% overdraft for the first 12 months, and 7.9% EAR thereafter. Customers can access their accounts online, in branch or on the telephone.
