Harry Potter to appear on millions of Royal Mail stamps

He’s conquered the bestseller lists for almost a decade and now JK Rowling’s bespectacled hero Harry Potter is set to appear on millions of Royal Mail Special Stamps.

Available from 17th July 2007, through a special licensing arrangement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Bloomsbury, the Royal Mail will be issuing seven highly collectible First Class stamps which feature the sleeve artwork from the Bloomsbury editions of each of the seven Harry Potter books. A five-stamp First Class miniature sheet which features the Hogwarts crests; the Hogwarts school crest and those of the four houses – Hufflepuff, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor will also be produced.

Issued just ahead of the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final Harry Potter book which will go on sale on 21st July 2007, the Royal Mail is proud to commemorate and celebrate an illustrious British author and a true global publishing phenomenon.
