Keep on running - BUPA London 10K Run

National disability charity Scope is looking for runners for its BUPA London 10K run taking place in May 2008. The event caters for runners of all abilities so this is your chance to challenge yourself and get fitter, all whilst raising money to help fight for equality for disabled people.
The run will be held on a section of the marathon course designed for the 2012 Olympics, so you’ll get a taster for what the top athletes will experience. The run will take you through the heart of London, past famous landmarks such as St Paul's Cathedral, the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace offering fantastic views along the way.
Gwen Pearson, Events Manager at Scope states: “This 10k run is a great opportunity for anyone looking to do something a bit different this year or set themselves a personal challenge. And when you know that you’ll be making a difference to the lives of disabled people and their families, there’s really no reason you shouldn’t sign up!”
The money raised will help Scope provide vital services for people with cerebral palsy and supports its Time to Get Equal campaign – which fights for equality for all disabled people.
Scope has been running challenge events since 1996 to fund the charity’s work with disabled people. To date, Scope has raised over £23 million.
