Charge bikes launches project with Jeff Griffin

5th August 2009 Print
Charge This season sees the launch of a brand new collaborative project between Charge bikes and menswear designer Jeff Griffin. Both urban innovators in their own worlds, the two brands have united to create a limited edition fixed gear bike, due for release in early September.

Situated just a few miles apart from each other in the West Country the two companies came together to create a bike with a difference for the fixed gear biking community. Charge’s signature single speed bike, the plug, quickly became the nominated frame of choice. With its minimalist design this new age, classic frame, welcomed Griffin’s innovative design approach.

Established in 1994 the Griffin brand once based in London moved to the country 9 years ago to begin living the lifestyle that the brand truly represented. Sustainability, local sourcing, skills and quality, working with traditional fabric mills in Yorkshire and Somerset as well as skilled factories within the UK and Europe to ensure the highest quality for our customers.

Jeff Griffin, renowned for his individual style and directional menswear continues to resist and question fashion. Griffin has been reinventing and collaborating with some of the fashion industry’s biggest names for over 15 years, with brands such as outdoor specialists Berghaus, Harrington jacket originators Baracuta and rainwear experts Mackintosh.

The Griffin X Charge collaboration bike will be launched at the Eurobike exhibition on the 31st August 2009. These 500 limited edition bikes will be immediately available from selected stockists.
