Eat In Colour Campaign Hits The Road

Working in conjunction with Haven Holidays the Eat in Colour roadshow will visit six regions around the country with its specially designed Eat in Colour ice cream van. The roadshow starts on 29 July at Hafan y Mor Holiday Park in Pwllheli, Gwynedd and will travel 1500 miles stopping at Scotland, Yorkshire, Sussex, Norfolk and Devon.
The principle behind the roadshow is ‘eating is believing’ - by creating a variety of delicious healthy snacks straight from the van Eat in Colour will demonstrate to families how easy eating more fruit and vegetables can be.
The Eat in Colour roadshow will be promoted to holiday park residents in local media and via invitations, newsletters and the kids club. The team will be Families will be able to sample a range of fruit and veg based dishes with a holiday twist, cookery demonstrations and games and activities for children.
Eat in Colour chairman Anthony Levy says: “For most of us the prospect of slaving over a hot stove after a busy day, especially when we’re on holiday, is simply too much – it just seems easier and cheaper to take the readymeal or takeaway route. But healthy eating needn’t be an ordeal. Eat in Colour is all about making sure that fun and flavour is on the menu. It’s about bringing colour to family mealtimes with easy ways to include fruit and vegetables alongside our favourite dishes. That’s the message we’re taking to the road.”
Haven Holidays spokesperson Deborah McCabe adds, “We are delighted to be working with the Eat in Colour Roadshow this summer. Together we can offer our guests practical, simple and fun ways to be healthier and happier.”
The EiC roadshow follows the recent success of the Eat in Colour challenge covered by The Sun which featured the Almond family from Wigan who spent a staggering £77 a week on takeaways. After Eating in Colour for a week the family managed to transform their eating habits.
