Share the love this Valentine’s Day with a Websnog!

5th February 2007 Print
Websnog, a new place on the web where everyone can ‘share the love’, is launched today at websnog.co.uk, to celebrate Valentine’s Day 14th February 2007. In support of The British Heart Foundation’s 2007 Valentine Appeal, Websnog aims to complete a collage of 5,000 photos and raise £5,000 before midnight on Valentine’s Day.

Joining the social networking revolution, Websnog is a viral phenomenon that will hit thousands of inboxes across the UK. It is an innovative, personal, easy and fun way to send a Valentine’s photo and message to that special someone (or your friends, relatives or even teacher!), instead of a traditional card.

Blow a kiss to the camera, kiss your favourite pin-up, give someone a cheeky peck on the cheek or if they’re game, full-on tonsil hockey! Websnoggers are also giving to a good cause, because by making a minimum donation of £1.50, profits will go to The British Heart Foundation’s 2007 Valentine Appeal to raise vital funds for BHF’s Heart Nurses and the Heart Information Line.

How it works...

On the Websnog grid at websnog.co.uk, simply choose an empty square of the 5,000 available, upload the photo with a short message (or anonymously if you wish) and enter the email address of the person the Websnog is for. When it is received, they will be directed straight to their message on the grid and will be able to see everyone else’s Websnogs!

There is even an option to share the love for free with friends at the same time, by entering their email addresses and encouraging them to send their own and be part of the bigger picture.

Websnog was conceived by Hampshire-based website design company Clickfire, at clickfire.co.uk. To find out more about the British Heart Foundation and the 2007 Valentines Appeal please visit their campaign micro site at bhf.org.uk/valentine.
