As well as the new delicious flavours, the ever-popular Original, Peri Peri and Blacked Pepper Chicken Chargrills are also available with a new improved recipe, meaning they’re even more tasty than before and still made with 100% chicken breast.

“The new Reggae Reggae Chicken Chargrills that I’ve created with Birds Eye are a great way for families to bring a taste of the Caribbean to teatimes and add some sizzle to food this summer. I called it Reggae Reggae Sauce because it puts music in your food, so I hope the rest of my tips give you something to sing about!” says Levi.

Caribbean cooking is all about experimenting with different flavours, so don’t be shy. Try out different combinations of herbs and spices and don’t forget to get the kids to help you create your own unique flavours.

Swap olive oil for coconut oil when you’re cooking for a summery hint of Jamaican flavour – and it smells delicious too!

Chicken rice and peas is probably the most famous dish in the Caribbean. Try Birds Eye Cracked Black Pepper Chicken Chargrills with some well seasoned rice and peas for a quick and easy but flavour-filled meal.

Don’t be scared to mix sweet food with savoury. The Caribbean is full of fresh fruit, so try adding mangoes to rice, salads or meat for a fresh fruity meal.

If you can’t get hold of traditional Caribbean ingredients, use your imagination! Yams are similar in texture to potatoes, so serve boiled, mashed or baked potatoes instead with a spicy curry.

If you’re barbecuing this summer do it the Jamaican way....i.e. slowly! We don’t rush anything in the Caribbean so take your time and give the flavours in your food time to develop.

Use ‘Allspice’ or Pimento in your cooking for an authentic Caribbean spicy taste – a mixture of cinnamon, clove and nutmeg it adds a kick to any recipe.

Limes are grown all over the Caribbean and just a squeeze of lime on fish or in a sauce can give it a real zesty kick.

Ackee is the national fruit of Jamaica and can be bought in tins in most supermarkets now in the World Food aisle. A similar texture to scrambled egg, try spreading it on toast to bring a taste of Jamaica to breakfast times.

Finally, for a quick and easy way to add sizzle to teatimes try Birds Eye’s Reggae Reggae Chicken Chargrills, made with Levi’s famous sauce.
