Quintessentially English

Quintessentially English The Rothschild banking dynasty came to England in 1798. Amongst their property is Halton Park, probably slightly less well known than Waddesdon Manor, but equally as impressive. Constructed in 1880, the property is situated above the Chiltern village of Halton and is now one of the RAF headquarter offices.

The key to the success of grand country estates, such as Halton, which at the time of its construction consisted of 1,500 acres, was infrastructure. In order to support the estate, the Rothschilds extensively re-modelled much of the existing village including the 17th Century lower farm house. Today, converted into beautiful homes, Savills Amersham is delighted to be marketing The Buttery in Halton Village.

Grade II listed, the cottage is quintessentially English and retains many period features including a Rothschild plaque above the front door.

Helen Barr of Savills comments: “Adjacent to an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the surrounding countryside is unlikely to change. The property combines the very best of village life with close proximity to central London.”

Accommodation includes sitting / dining room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, courtyard garden, 2 garages with storage above.

Guide Price £365,000.
