Milton Keynes snooker club in line for re-development

19th September 2008 Print
A single storey brick building and adjacent land in Milton Keynes has come onto the market with potential for several alternative uses. Savills’ Development Land team is marketing the site, which is currently operating as a snooker club. Herald Sporting Club stands on 2.5 acres of land with well defined boundaries enclosing a large hard-standing area, currently used as a car park, and a manager’s 3-bedroom bungalow to the rear of the main building.

Ivor Lafford of Savills’ Milton Keynes office says: “This is a relatively rare opportunity to secure a sizeable, well-located site with such potential to extend both upwards and outwards. Someone may want to develop and enhance the existing business but the site also has many possible alternative uses, the most likely being a hotel, restaurant, pub, fitness club, or perhaps a residential nursing home.”

The snooker club is on McConnell Drive, a prominent road on the north-east side of Milton Keynes, and stands in a residential area. Directly opposite is the popular Milton Keynes Agricultural Museum. It is two miles to the city centre and less than a mile to Wolverton railway station.

Acting on behalf of the owners, The Elementary Property Co Ltd, Savills has been instructed to sell the freehold by private treaty and is inviting offers, either unconditional or subject to planning.
