McCann Homes launches moving package

Milton Keynes property developer, McCann Homes is launching an innovative ‘Moving In’ package to help buyers spread the additional costs of moving in during the current economic climate.

The packages – the first for the industry – will be unveiled at the opening weekend for two new developments in Leighton Buzzard and Hockliffe on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th February.

McCann Homes’ Falcon Rise development in Hockliffe and its Hazel Court development in Leighton Buzzard will offer nearly fifty brand new two-to four bedroom properties, and the Garden Hedge development will be the first to feature the ‘Moving In’ package.

A selection of ‘Moving In’ packages are being made available to purchasers to have their new home fully equipped with everything from the dining furniture down to the cutlery.

Three furniture packages – ranging from bronze to gold – take each room of the property and dress them according to the client’s desired taste and preference. A three piece sofa, dining room table and chairs, lamp tables, TV stand are among the contents on offer in the lounge/kitchen diner.

All bedrooms are furnished with either single or double beds, mattresses, sheets, covers, pillow cases, chest-of-drawers and wardrobes - all professionally assembled to relieve further strain of moving in.

Small touches such as soap dispensers, mirrors and even a kitchen stocked with crockery, pots and pans, cutlery and utensils come as standard. Practical items like a toaster, kettle, iron and board and a fully comprehensive cleaning set are also included.

McCann Homes is also offering a curtain and blinds package. With hundreds of designs to choose from, Sales Director at McCann Homes, Gail Davies said; “One of the first things people have to do when they move into a new property is to put up curtains and blinds. We are taking away this hassle with a practical and affordable solution.”

A dedicated representative will work closely with each buyer to determine the tones and design preferences for each room before placing an order. All curtains and blinds are fully fitted before the moving in date and furniture assembled and placed in their appropriate room – even the bedside lamps are all fitted with energy efficient bulbs.

McCann Homes is offering the packages as either an isolated payment option or as part of the value of the property that becomes amalgamated into the mortgage.

The ‘Moving In’ package is a welcome cost-effective alternative for first time buyers and investors. Furniture packages start from £6,325 while the curtain package begins at just £2,250.
