Continued success for Wolverton development

26th June 2009 Print
Continued success for Wolverton development Quality houses in a great location are ensuring the region’s leading housebuilder, David Wilson South Midlands, continues to enjoy regular sales success at its The Sidings development in Wolverton, despite the downturn in the economy.

The housebuilder has witnessed an incredible 17 sales in 12 weeks at the development, a brilliant result particularly during the challenging market conditions of the past 18 months.

Situated on Stratford Road, The Sidings is a charming collection of three- bedroom homes which have been purposely designed to compliment and blend in with the Victorian character of the quaint town. It has proven a hit with homebuyers and just 10 homes remain unsold.

Jackie Day, Sales Director at David Wilson comments “To achieve this volume of sales during what could aptly be described as an incredibly testing time for the housing industry is a fantastic result but it just goes to show that quality homes in a great location are very much still in demand.

“As a division we’ve witnessed an increase in sales activity during the first quarter of the year, in terms of both visitor levels and sales achieved, which hopefully hints at a slight improvement in market conditions.

“As a company we’re committed to providing first class homes in great locations and The Sidings is a prime example of a typical David Wilson development. It benefits from a wide range of local amenities including shops, takeaways and public houses, and with Milton Keynes on the doorstep, the range of leisure and recreational activities on offer is outstanding.

“Wolverton train station is also within walking distance, where journey times to London are less than an hour meaning working in the big smoke is achievable when living at The Sidings.”

The Sidings offers two three- bedroom designs – a Strathmore and a Winchester.

The Strathmore is a charming three- bedroom home ideal for couples, professionals and small families. The ground floor comprises a living room and open plan kitchen and dining area with French doors that lead onto the garden, whilst the first floor features three bedrooms, the master of which has an en-suite, plus the family bathroom.

The Winchester is a more contemporary style offering accommodation spread over three floors. The ground floor boasts a kitchen, open plan dining and family room and a cloakroom. The first floor comprises a spacious lounge and a bedroom plus the family bathroom. The third floor completes this style with the master bedroom which has an en-suite, and a further double bedroom.

Prices for a Strathmore start from £170,000 whilst the Winchesters start from £207,995.
